Think like a native English Speaker

When writing in English, think like a native English speaker, not like a Portuguese speaker. We tend to translate our thoughts literally to English. Don’t do it! Due to the differences in language structures (in our case, English and Portuguese) and cultural differences, it simply doesn’t work and makes us sound unnatural. That’s why every time you try to communicate in English you need to leave your “Portuguese thoughts” behind. Pretend to be a native English speaker until the work is done. It takes a lot of practice to sound natural, but it’s perfectly possible!
